Billy Ray Terrell's Obituary
Papaw Billy Ray, as he was known to his family, was a lover of many things. Gospel Bluegrass was his passion. He loved to play and sing more than he loved to eat. Nothing pleased him more than to get on a stage with his family and sing sweet songs to Jesus. E was so proud of his family and their musical talents. Once he got started singing with them he never wanted to stop. He would always say "If yall don't care, I'm gonna sing one more."
But above his love for his music and family, was his love for a Godly woman named Margaret. I think we can all still hear him calling her name. She was the one and only love of his life. He made her a promise at the young age of 16 to love her faithfully, to work hard to provide for their family, and to make sure they always remained a Christian home. He fulfilled every one of those promises. They had a home full of service to the Lord. Billy Ray preached every Sunday, every Wednesday, and every time an opportunity was available. He never once missed an opportunity to speak about our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. We all know he is now in heaven celebrating his rewards with his loving wife, Margaret and all his loved ones.
" I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." 2 Tim 4:7
