Rochelle Raper
I have so many memories of him it's hard to pick one. I've known him since I was 3 or 4, I don't remember a time in my childhood I didn't know him. He was like a second grandfather, and sister Terrell was like having another grandma. I remember laughing and playing with his dog, bro Terrell would pickup pinecones and say watch this, he would throw one and his bulldog would pick it up, he would thrown another and another until his mouth was full of pinecones and he was walking around like he was smiling with his jaws full of pinecones.
He was always there for me, I could talk to him about anything, and I knew he would always listen be there for me, and never tell a soul about what we talk about. He prayed with me when I got saved, he baptized me, he held the Bible with my hand on it when I promised to be faithful to God, he guided me, and taught me so much. He was my pastor, my grandfather, my godfather, and my friend. I am heartbroken at the loss, but I know he's reunited with his love, his son, his parents, but most of all he's with Jesus the one he loved more than anything, the one he told us about, and told us how great he was.
Thank you for guiding my life and encouraging me, thank you for teaching me about Jesus, thank you for helping mold my life and being there for me. I will carry your smile, your voice, and your love with me for the rest of my life.
Go rest high on that mountain and sing with the angels my friend
I Love you Billy Ray Terrell
