Riley George Palmer's Obituary
Riley George Palmer, 88, of Red Bay passed away November 13, 2025 peacefully at home. He was born on June 4, 1937 in Marion County to the late Joe and Ethel Lewis Palmer.
Riley attended Hackleburg High School. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church where he was also a Deacon.
He is survived by his Wife: Virginia Scott Palmer, Children: Deborah West (Van), Donna Hightower (David), Dwayne Palmer (Carrie) and Dinah Thrasher (Tommy). Grandchildren: Bryant West, Adam Bullen, Whitney West, Kyle Palmer, Carmen Riggins, Blake Evetts, Leah Barksdale, Renate Wellington, and Erika Ables. A host of Great Grandchildren with two on the way.
Services will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at Friendship Baptist Church located at 690 10th Street NE, Red Bay, Alabama 35582. Visitation will be from 1:00 until 2:00. Funeral will begin at 2:00 with Brother Billy Nichols officiating. Burial will follow at Red Bay City Cemetery.
