Maxine Lockhart, 93 of Detroit passed away Friday June 6,2025 at her residence. Visitation will be held Tuesday June 10,2025 12:00 until service time beginning at 2:00 at Cooper Freewill Baptist Church with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery.
Survivors include, Daughter: Linda (Regan) Rye, Sister: Gearl Green, Brothers: James McCarley (Wanda), Dwight McCarley (Gwen), Rex McCarley (Susan), Danny McCarley (Donna) and Elmon McCarley, Brother In Law: James Easter, Grandchildren: Jerry Don Taylor (Amy), Tammy King (Shannon), Matthew Rye (Britney), Jonathan Ray (Lisa), and Haley Dodds (Russell), 18 Great Grandchildren and 21 Great Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by, Husband: Wilson Lockhart, Daughter: Diane Smith, Granddaughter: Rhonda Downey, Father: Floyd McCarley, Mother: Dora McCarley, Brothers: Edward McCarley, Elton McCarley, and Alvis McCarley. Sisters: Mary Lou Lynch, Nell Ingle, Faye Pruitt and Polly Easter.
