Lynn Hagan Gann's Obituary
Lynn Hagan Gann, born on May 14, 1963, passed away on August 18, 2025, at the age of 62. Lynn was a beloved daughter, aunt, educator, and friend, whose legacy of love, laughter, and teaching will forever be remembered by all who knew her.
Lynn was the daughter of the late Nancy K. O’Brien. She was a proud academic leader, serving as the Academic Division Chair and Math Instructor at Bevill State Community College’s Hamilton campus for many years. Her dedication to her students and her passion for education made a lasting impact on the college community, where she was highly respected and loved by her colleagues and students alike.
Beyond her career, Lynn was a loving and proud aunt to Kayla and cherished her daughters, Presleigh and Milly. Her warmth, humor, and generous heart extended to her many dear friends, including Dale Alexander, Judy Seals, and Renee Clark, who were blessed to share in her life and adventures.
Lynn loved spending time at the beach and she enjoyed traveling with her close-knit group of friends. She was also an animal lover, particularly fond of her cats, who brought her much happiness and comfort.
Lynn’s family and friends will always remember her for her boundless love, her kindness, and the way she made everyone around her feel special. Her infectious laugh, her unshakable support, and her caring nature will forever be treasured.
Lynn is survived by her stepfather, Kevin O’Brien; her uncle, George McNeal; her niece, Kayla Vickery Scott; as well as many other extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly. Her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of Lynn’s life will be held September 4, 2025 at Bevill State Community College in the Bear’s Den from 11:30am to 2:00pm for family and friends.
