Joy Janette Emerson, 73, of Hamilton passed away Sunday, December 14, 2025 at the North Ms. Medical Center in Tupelo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 6:00 until 9:00 at the Hamilton Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral service will be Wednesday, 2:00 at the chapel burial will follow at Single Springs Cemetery.
Survivors include, Husband: Don Emerson, Children: Christi (Kevin) Spencer, and Donielle Taylor (Nicky), Grandchildren: Mariah Emerson (Zach), Lindsay (Tyler) Newell, Macy Spencer and McKhale Taylor, Great Grandchildren: Kaycen Kilgore, Lindley Kilgore, Scarlett Raine Kilgore, and Lucy Blair Newell, Sister: Judy Adams, Sister-In-Law: Bonnie Emerson, Special Friend: Lou Ann Hubbard, A host of Nieces and Nephews.
She was preceded in death by, Parents: James Thomas McLemore and Ethel Antha Carpenter, Step Fathers: Flodie Mitchell, and Elige Reed, Sister-In-Laws: Sue Childers and Patsy Emerson, Brother-In-Laws: O'Neal, Ray, Andy Fay, Lecil, Nello and Jack Emerson.
